Passport of ESL Teachers in Thailand

Teachers avail work permits on the basis of Non-immigrant B visa valid for 90 days and a passport valid for 6 months. Such visas are usually valid for three months and can be extended till one year if you meet the requirements of the category for which you are applying.

So an ESL teacher should check that:

  • Passport is valid for 6 months from the day of landing in Thailand

  • The passport book should have sufficient visa pages to accommodate continued visa renewal
